Project intentionally uses female steps and sounds that are produced by high heeled shoes with all of their cultural, aesthetic and metaphorical weightiness. At the same time it is set in a definite, chosen particularly for this purpose architectonic space. It’s official and monumental character is also an important context of the act. Performance uses specific reverb and resonance of main hall and adjoining corridors. Sound material is acoustic and comes from a wide range of various sounds produces when taking steps. Moving in various rhythms, speed, volume and timbre, performers constantly change the set of relations between the sound sources.

The audience was seated right in the centre of the building, with the sound approaching from around, above and below. The performance took part just after the opening hours of the City Hall, so the additional, accidental sounds had to be taken to account. The rather small size of the building dictated another approach to the narrative of the piece; the emphasis was put on the forced proximity of sound getting ever closer to the audience.

Koncert na Wysokie Obcasy powstał z inspiracji dźwiękiem butów na wysokich obcasach, wraz z ich właściwoscią do wzmagania odczucia przestrzeni oraz całym ładunkiem metaforycznym, kulturalnym a nawet politycznym. Do wykonania utworu szukałyśmy
przestrzeni o urzędowym, instytucjonalnym charakterze. Wypełniający takie miejsca na codzień stukot obcasów wydaje się wykreślać linie, tworząc tym samym rodzaj szkicu przestrzennego.
